Norton Urges D.C. Residents to Enroll in DC Health Link’s Affordable Health Insurance Plans Before January 31 Deadline

January 25, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today urged District of Columbia residents to enroll in affordable health insurance plans being offered by DC Health Link before the open enrollment period ends on January 31, 2019. Norton said that even residents who already have health insurance should visit DCHealthLink.com to browse other available health insurance plans, which may be more affordable and better fit their needs.

"I hope residents are not confused by the failed Republican attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act," Norton said. "The District has been a model for the Affordable Care Act's overwhelming impact in getting nearly every resident the health care coverage they need and deserve. In D.C., we are close to universal coverage. We must now make the final push in the last days of the enrollment period to get every single D.C. resident covered."
