STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF C. DELORES TUCKER

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today issued the following statement on the death of C. Delores Tucker:

“C. Delores Tucker or ‘C’, as we called her, was a brilliant leader and organizer of everything she touched, and she touched every important cause of her time and left her signature on them all. C was as fearless as she was eloquent, as determined as she was talented. Bill Tucker, her extraordinary and loving partner, will be showered with love from thousands of friends like me, who loved them both. We in the District particularly feel the loss to Bill and his family because C spent so many good years living in the District doing endless good works for the people of this city.”
