WASHINGTON, DC -- Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Nick Rahall (D-WV), House Aviation Subcommittee Ranking Member Jerry Costello (D-IL), Representatives Jim Moran (D-VA), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), and other Members of Congress will hold a press conference today at 12:30 p.m. in room 2253 of the Rayburn House Office Building to put pressure on the House Republican Leadership to pass a clean Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill in order to get more than 90,000 FAA employees and construction workers who were furloughed as of Saturday back to work.
"The participation of the Ranking Member, Nick Rahall, is an indication of growing anxiety nationwide about congressional inaction to get 90,000 FAA employees and construction workers back to work."
