Roger Clemens Requests Meeting with Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (2/8/08)

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, met today with former New York Yankee Roger Clemens at his request. The committee has scheduled a hearing on "The Illegal Use of Steroids in the Major League Baseball," set for Wednesday, February 13th at 10:00 AM in the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2154.

The Congresswoman declined to ask Clemens any questions relating to the hearing. She told Mr.Clemens she was pleased he was coming forward to testify under oath. The contents of the meeting was amicable and did not touch on matters regarding next week's hearing.
