WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today released the following statement on the passing of Vincent H. Cohen: "Vincent H. Cohen, who died on Christmas Day, will long be remembered as one of the city's most distinguished lawyers and for his volunteer public service leadership. His legacy is especially rich – a lifetime of accomplishments from his days as an all-American scholar athlete, his professional achievements in the law, including becoming the first African American partner in a major law firm in the nation's capital, his loving family, and a host of friends, among whom I count myself."
