Washington, DC-Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today joined countless D.C. residents and Washington Redskins fans nationwide in expressing condolences to the family and teammates of Sean Taylor, the standout safety who was shot to death in Miami yesterday. Norton said that senseless gun violence that has torn apart so many families has now taken the life of a 24-year-old father of a baby girl. "May the tragic loss of another young man who was on his way up personally and professionally alert his young fans to the life he was building and the necessity to control guns in our city and in the nation. The Taylor family has my deepest sympathy," Norton said.
