WASHINGTON, D.C.—The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today released Norton’s letter to Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Acting Director Hugh Hurwitz strongly opposing a new BOP requirement that the facility awarded a contract for a Residential Reentry Management Center in the District of Columbia metropolitan area must accept all high-risk inmates, including sexual predators whose victims were children.
