WASHINGTON, D.C. – With Senate debate now underway on the fiscal year 2013 Defense Authorization bill, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will head to the House floor to lead a half-hour special order today, November 28, 2012,around 4:00 p.m. calling on Senators to include a provision in the bill that would require the armed services to display the D.C. flag and the flags of the territories whenever the flags of the 50 states are displayed. The House-passed version of the bill contains the provision.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – At a press conference this morning with other members of Congress, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) defended U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice against several recent attacks from Republicans in Congress. In her statement, Norton offered documented evidence that Ambassador Rice's remarks on Benghazi were based on the only intelligence available to the administration at the time.
