WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) said today that the Senate Appropriations Committee's fiscal year 2015 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations bill provides $48.6 million for consolidation of the DHS headquarters, currently under construction on the West Campus of St. Elizabeths in Ward 8. The DHS construction received $190 million for fiscal year 2014. Both appropriations will help fund the Center Building for the Secretary and his staff, as well as operations.

In her letter, Norton requested that the review period be extended to 90 days and that two public meetings be held on the Final EIS.
