Hoyer (MD-05) announced today a letter to the House Appropriations Committee urging Members to prohibit the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) from using funds to carry out its proposal to move the Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture from the National Capital Region and to reorganize ERS under the Office of the Secretary, a political office.
