The newly formed Caucus is co-chaired by Norton and Davis.

WASHINGTON, DC – On Monday, July 22, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will a lead preview tour, exclusively for D.C. residents and the media, of the new U.S. Coast Guard headquarters on the St. Elizabeths West Campus in Ward 8 to introduce the new building to the D.C. community. WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today offered her take on the House Appropriations Committee markup yesterday of the Fiscal Year 2014 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill. Her greatest concerns with the bill approved by the Committee are the 50 percent cut – $15 million compared to the fiscal year 2013 enacted level of $30 million – in funding for the District of Columbia Tuition Assistance Grant program (DCTAG) and the rider that prohibits the District from spending its local funds on abortion services for low-income women.

WASHINGTON, DC – The House Appropriations Committee, as part of the fiscal year 2014 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill it passed today, approved Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's (D-DC) provision to give the Capitol Police the permanent authority to issue permits for commercial filming and photography in Union Square (the area just below the west side of the Capitol, near the Botanic Gardens). The Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee passed the bill last week.
