WASHINGTON, D.C.—The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) has been in touch with National Park Service (NPS) officials about yesterday’s malfunction of the Washington Monument elevator, which left 63 visitors and two pregnant women needing assistance in getting down from the top of the Monument.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) opened today school by cutting the ribbon on a new cafeteria at Bruce-Monroe at Park View, the elementary school she attended. Norton used the first day of District of Columbia Public Schools to announce that when Congress returns from recess, she will introduce the Universal Prekindergarten and Early Childhood Education Act of 2015.
