WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today wrote to Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, requesting to testify at the subcommittee's hearing next week on a bill (H.R. 3803) that would ban all abortions performed after 20 weeks of pregnancy in the District of Columbia with limited exceptions.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In the wake of the Secret Service prostitution scandal, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a former chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, called on Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan to move aggressively to give women more opportunities for employment and promotion in the agency, where women now make up only 11 percent of the workforce.
